Depression can affect you in many different ways. It can cause disturbance in sleep, reduced motivation, unrelenting sadness, negativity, as well as many other symptoms.
When feeling depressed it can be hard to think positively about the future or about yourself. Negative thoughts and feelings can almost feel like they are spiralling out of control. The cycle can be hard to break.
Sometimes we try to block out or to distract from the way we’re feeling, but often this can just make things worse.
Depression is classed as a mood disorder, and so if you have been feeling low in mood for a prolonged period of time, you could experiencing depression.
